The closed-door room

The Cave Board Room

The Cave is the smallest room at Royal Court and the only one designed around discretion rather than capacity. Up to fifteen seats, one door, and no reason for anyone else to walk through it — which is what a board meeting, a term-sheet discussion or an interview panel actually requires.

  • Up to 15 Guests
  • Private & Secure
  • AV Equipped
  • Catering on Request

About the hall

What The Cave is actually like

The room was built as a board room rather than converted into one, so the table, the seating and the sightlines are fixed and correct: everyone faces everyone, nobody sits behind a colleague, and the screen is readable from every chair. That sounds obvious until you have run a decision-making meeting in a banquet room around a rented table.

Audio-visual is in place for a presentation or a video call with a participant who could not travel. Catering is on request rather than automatic — for most bookings that means coffee through the morning and a served lunch at the table, and for an evening booking it means a private dinner for the same group without moving to a restaurant floor.

It also works as the quiet room attached to a larger event. A company running a conference in Majestic will often hold The Cave alongside it for the leadership session that happens before the doors open, or the vendor conversation that happens after they close.

The Cave questions

Before you book this hall

How private is The Cave board room?
It has a single entrance and no through traffic, and it is booked as a whole room rather than by the seat. For a negotiation, an interview panel or a confidential briefing, nobody else has a reason to walk through it for the length of your booking.
Can The Cave be used for a private dinner rather than a meeting?
Yes. Catering is on request, so an evening booking can be a served dinner at the board table for up to fifteen — the same group, without moving out to a restaurant floor.
Can we book The Cave alongside a larger hall on the same day?
It is a common pairing: a conference in Majestic Hall with The Cave held for the leadership session before the doors open or the vendor meeting after they close. Availability depends on the date, so mention it when you enquire and we will map both bookings out.
